The weekend in Austin got off to a great start for Aron Canet and the Fantic Racing Team with the second pole position of the season and the ninth in Moto2 for the Spanish rider. In the race he was unable to exploit his advantage due to an unlucky start. However, he took home a ninth place, gaining important points for the championship where he remains in contact with the leaders, just 13 points from the top.
For Xavi Cardelus it was a complex weekend, on a new and very demanding track. However, during the various sessions he managed to improve the feeling and gain further experience.
