Strange (and short) race at Mugello

Aron Canet close to the podium in his home GP at Mugello

No break for the riders of the Fantic Racing Team: we immediately race in Italy for the home Grand Prix, at Mugello, from 2 to 4 June. Race halved, almost a Sprint, due to the Moto3 being split in two by an accident. All in twelve laps, strategy missed, tire calculations to be redone.
Close race, six riders in front fighting for the podium and among them there is also Canet. The Spaniard always remains in the leading positions: the pace is high and with a continuous overtaking and counter-overtaking until the last two laps. Canet finishes in sixth position.
For Xavi Cardelus, Mugello has always been a difficult track, which is less suited to his riding style. Xavi was able to improve significantly turn after turn. Starting in P29, he was able to maintain a constant pace which allowed him to recover positions, up to a final 23rd place.
