Unlucky epilogue at the Sachsenring for both drivers

A technical problem and a fall slow down our boys in Germany

05 July 2024
The weekend started well for Canet who showed off himself already on Friday. On Saturday morning he set the best time of the Practice, directly entering Q2. Unfortunately in qualifying he was unable to repeat the excellent lap due to a less than optimal feeling. Starting fourteenth, he fought to recover positions in the race but a technical problem with the bike compromised his performance, forcing him to retire. This is an unfortunate epilogue for the winner of the Portuguese GP, who was unable to score in the points despite the excellent performances demonstrated over the weekend. The three week break will give him and the team the opportunity to work, to return to the top at Silverstone and gain positions in the drivers' standings.
Roberto Garcia, making his debut in the MotoGP, demonstrated that he is at ease with the strongest riders in the world. The leader of the Junior GP In qualifying he missed out on Q2 by just 196 thousandths. Starting twenty-fourth, he was not intimidated in the race and showed a good pace. Unfortunately, a fall on lap 12 put an end to his race but he will have the opportunity to show off on other occasions in the future.
